Thread starter libby74 Start Date Dec 12, I know a lot of folks here use L-lysine for their cats, and I could do a search and wade through the results, but thought it might just be easier to ask.
My vet never seems to have L-Lysine in stock when I ask for it, and apparently not enough people use it around here for him to order a supply of it. I've done an internet search at both Petco and Petsmart, and found only the treats at Petco. I'd really prefer the powder or capsule form. Any advice on a good, reasonably priced source? Hi Libby!!! You can also buy it through Amazon too. We get our Lysine on Amazon. This is the kind we purchased last time. It dissolves easier than the NOW brand. Our cats are really picky, and they eat it - I just sprinkle it on top of their food. It usually isn't completely dissolved, but they don't seem to care. I've managed to get the powder at my vet's once Virayls, I believe it was and the cats had no problem with it being sprinkled on their food.

Now, how do you figure out how much to use? The little jar of powder I got from the vet had a cute little scoop and told me how many scoops to use. These products appear to be in different concentrations, so how do I know if I'm using enough or too much? Am I over-thinking this?
