Room is comfortable and bathroom is superb. Good place to stay with relaxing. This family are very kind, lovely and helpful. The breakfast was very big, great taste and we couldn't eat it all. We loved this place. Have a beautiful beach,shops and many restaurants near the villa. Everything is perfect.

Never seen so many big oysters and snails walking on the beach. The beach is not exactly "happening" but it is so full of life. Turtel hatchery, Madu Ganga River safari, Mask museum are all close by. Saw a couple of monitors walking on the road. Some excellent restaurants around serving good sea food.
Ahungalla beach is not appropriate for those willing to sea bathing. However, if you find a nice spot to stay, you will enjoy nice walks on the sun, for a long clean sand path. The city itself I have no opinion about.
Hotel tries to keep guest entertained with live shows n late night disco. Cons: Gets very crowded on weekends. Not the ideal place for a quiet getaway.
It's the small village with only two big hotels but the sand beach is beatiful, wide, long and uncrowded. The turtle sanctuary is located in the village and the entrance fee is rupees. There are a lot of small shops and stalls with fruit and vegetables. If you will be not content with local goods you can reach the nearest villages Balapitiya rupees by tuk-tuk or Bentota rupees by tuk-tuk , which have bigger markets, including fresh fish and supermarkets.
We liked the restourant that is located just on the beach and called "Sunshine restaurant". They have variety of dishes in their menu starting from fresh juice to different kinds of sea food.
