Steve Fairchild went in four seasons before he was fired in Jim McElwain bolted for Florida at the end of the season after guiding the Rams to a record in three years.
Mike Bobo was fired last fall after his teams went over five seasons. He hit the ground running, signing nine players a week later on the first day of the early signing period as the first members of a recruiting class he filled out with additional signees in February.
He quickly assembled a coaching staff that included his son, Louie, as the offensive line coach, and veterans Brian White to coach his running backs and serve as assistant head coach, Chuck Heater as defensive coordinator and up-and-comer Joey Lynch as offensive coordinator. Players participated in the winter conditioning program in January and February and got in eight of the 15 spring practices permitted by NCAA rules from Feb.

The coaching staff had virtual meetings daily on Microsoft Teams. Players and coaches met every afternoon, sometimes as a full unit, offense or defense, sometimes by specific position group, and sometimes as an entire team. Strength and conditioning coach Mike Lafferty and his staff sent out daily workouts for players to complete on their own. The group explored the town of Todos Santos, received lectures from faculty working in the region, explored cultural traditions, and went glamping on a remote island — allowing the group to view indigenous wildlife and experience biological diversity.
Webb agreed, noting that one of the biggest perks to the trip is the inclusive nature of the logistics. CSU faculty, staff, and students can research abroad, travel abroad, study abroad in Mexico on their own, without this Center, but the Center provides that unique base to engage in all of these activities.
Another draw for Fort Collins outdoor lovers is hiking, rock climbing, and biking at Horsetooth Mountain Park, which includes 2,acres of scenic open space, covering elevations from 5, to 7, feet.
