He had fallen far from his initial popularity and strength since his release, but the God is back on top and in good fighting shape with abilities that allow him to pull fleeing enemies in, chase them down, as well as escape sketchy encounters and situations and is one of the best Smite gods. Bellona is the Roman Goddess of War and, to probably a lack of surprise, holds the number one spot in this list of Smite Gods.

Although not one of the most offensive of the Guardians, he is hard to get rid of and when he does decide he and his friends are done fighting it's hard to keep them around. He has a dash that allows him to knock enemies back, which can force them to disengage or land them in the middle of the Geb's team, a strong AOE knock up, and a shield that he can place on himself or allies that can be a real pain to shred through.

He can summon a forest of bamboo and fly away as a leaf in the wind, with his enemies scrambling to find which leaf is him. These antics help Danzaburou earn his spot on the list and continue to make his gameplay interesting.
One of the newest gods, Tsukuyomi is an absolute menace coming out of the jungle. He brings good control and great damage to a team fight. An excellent ganker, few can survive a Tsukuyomi showing up in their lane. He thrives at taking out a single target, but if played well, he can take down multiple enemies and get out with his life. With a stun, a slow, a disarm, and an ultimate that brings Tsukuyomi to you, it is hard to just run away.
In a team fight, he is great at taking out an enemy mage or hunter, or both. He can blink in and use his kit to kill enemies, ulting any targets that are fleeing, or engage with his ultimate.
Engaging with the ultimate forces the enemy team to defend which allows his team to collapses on them while Tsukuyomi still has access to his whole kit. An excellent choice for anyone who wants to jump into the thick of the fight. Bellona has long been a face of Smite, with her debut all the way back in Season 2. She was the first god to feature a disarm, which disabled her opponents from using basic attacks.
Her kit is unique in that every one of her three main abilities alters her basic attack. One ability gives her lifesteal and increases her attack range, another gives her block, which absorbs an enemy basic attack, and the final one lets her hit multiple gods at once at decreased damage. Bellona is one of the best gods in Smite because she is so versatile and has great survivability.
The right combination of her abilities can put fear in enemies as they run away. Unfortunately for them, Bellona's ultimate is often used to close distance on retreating foes and start the fight all over again.
The premier lane bully, Cu Chulainn abuses Manakin Scepter like no other. With his rage-based transformation mechanic, it isn't unlikely that he gets an early kill or even wins a 2 vs. With Manakin Scepter, Cu Chulainn can out clear and out box nearly everyone.
It also allows him to run at hunters and render them completely useless. In team fights, he shines at harassing the enemy hunter. Players can use the normal form ult to engage on the enemy team and then just solo their carries once transformed. He's one of the few characters who starts off strong and maintains it throughout the whole game.
A good Cu Chulainn can singlehandedly carry a team to victory. He is unmatched at setting the pace of a game and making his team's lives easier. Since mobility to so important right now, Apollo's ability to fly into any fight on the map means that his team always has a numbers advantage in any engagement. He can be in duo lane and ult over to mid lane and end the fight before the enemy hunter can even think about rotating over.
His passive increases his attack speed every so often meaning that in the early game he is a fantastic boxer and has great lane clear. He is also very difficult to gank because he can mesmerize whoever is trying to gank him and then dash away to safety. In the late game, his auto attacks chunk like any other hunters do, but his mesmerize is fantastic at disrupting the fight and giving him protections that help him stay alive longer than others. No other hunter can be there when you need them most as Apollo can and that makes him the best at what he does.
Cupid and Apollo are nearly two sides of the same coin. Both hunters have a large focus on mobility and excel at targeting a single individual and dissuading the rest of their team from engaging. A solid basic attack, dash, stun, team consumables, and an area of effect ultimate help Cupid earn his spot as one of the best gods in Smite. While he may be the god of love, Cupid's arrows are far deadlier than they are full of healing love.
Cupid's first ability and ultimate are impacted by how many basic attacks he has hit before activation. Making sure you have all of these stacks before using your abilities can alter your fights drastically.
