Argh black I nearly cried colouring it dark brown even although it was most similar to my natural hair colour-I hated how dark it was. However I loooove the dark blue I had, so maybe I would look ok. Argh, love it! Washed my hair for the first time and hardly any colour came out, still bold and bright, impressed. Love your blog and your style, awesome! Got a new follower. Got the blue now and it's faded a little quicker than the pink I'd say. Was it Atomic Pink? I had a whole head of that for years and it stained everything. Collars of clothes, nails, bedding, necklaces, the bath, everything!
This one isn't anywhere near as staining. I pin-curl my hair while it's wet and sometimes generally the first couple of washes , I'll stain the finger I'm curling the hair around.
I haven't noticed a discolouration of my nails, maybe it's because I haven't been wearing lighter colours on them. Certainly it would only occur when shampoo-ing the hair rather than just running my fingers through it. That said, I haven't coloured my hair since November and it's still got a reasonably strong pink colour in it obviously my roots have come in and it's lightened to pink from purple, but still it's 4 whole months and it's supposed to be a 6 wash thing!
It comes out easily enough if you want it to though with bleaching unlike Atomic Pink which I still had traces of years later. Hi Monique, yikes, ok, well I bleached my head and then I think I went blue after this. In saying that I used the purple dye in November last year and seeing as I haven't done anything to it since, it's been interesting to see that there is still faded to pink on the middle obviously my natural colour as roots then it's faded to white in some places like the ends.
I can't believe there's still colour, 6 months later! I would try bleach or that colour b4 stuff you get that takes out the colour or use a shampoo or washing up liquid known to strip colour out. Hi loved reading ur blog, I have just purchased this colour and have pre lightened my hair but the roots have gone blonde and the rest is orange ish? Not sure if I can put it on over the orange? Help x. I recently used these dyes again and my hair hadn't been coloured for years.
I toned actually put the shampoo in dry and sat with it on for an hour before washing it out and then applied the blue, turquoise, pink and purple in layers. The white ends came out exactly as on the box, the lengths were darker and more dull. It will cover, it just won't look like it does on the box. The turquoise one is rubbish, it has barely any pigment, comes out a dirty colour and disappears after one wash. The blue is gorgeous but fades quite quickly. The purple and pink are similar to one another and seem to last longest.
Hi I've used the colour lives before the bright pink one. But I wanted it bright so I didn't mix with conditioner, I want to go an all over pastel purple, so should I be ok to mix the purple with conditioner to create a pastel colour?
Hi, apparently this is how it works! I haven't tried it myself though. I've since used the turquoise one in this range Turned my hair a dirty colour and not really turquoise and faded after one wash. The blue is beautiful, but quite quick to fade. The pink and purple are the strongest shades from what I've tried. I currently have this in my hair but I have an interview at the end of the week for a company that wouldn't employ me with pink hair!
My hair is blonde underneath all the pink and Im exhausting my poor brain on thinking of ways to get it out in 4 days without having to dye it a darker colour. Can anyone help?
